Here we go again…it’s coming…
It’s about that time when I feel the need to change things up in my life. Well, actually this time it is not about me feeling the need…more so “it’s obvious you need to do this, so let’s get it done…” type of thing.
Time for another blog.
I know, I can hear you guys saying it now, “Here goes Tyme AGAIN changing domain names…” but you’re wrong! I’m not changing domain names…I’m adding a domain name. I’m going to share my reasoning with you.
Target Audience
The majority of my audience knows me and I suppose have similar interests as me. Unfortunately, those interests clash, particularly for the topics I’m going to discuss. For example, on Tyme Said the audience likes relationship type articles. When I write about the web, it’s sort of off topic. That does not include Business, Games, Technology…if I wrote about those things it would bore you guys to tears.
Future Goals
With the possibility of a book on the horizon I need to keep informed on those issues….you know all the non-relationship stuff. My need to do it and my desire to do it match so…it must be done! Tyme Said is not necessarily the place to do it.
Adult Topics Follow You…
Tyme Said has been tagged as a porn site in StumbleUpon, which shows up on Google. Frankly, I could give two shits about it but trying to undo it is more of a pain than it is worth and it could impact my future plans. It honestly isn’t worth fighting it. I also want the new site to have a PG rating.
Sooo…Onward We Go…
I have a new ill domain I’m not ready to announce yet. Don’t worry, it will have a crappy design, a kick as name and lots of attitude. You know, the usual. I will when it is ready and I hope you stick around and join in on the fun.

How did you get classified as porn? I don’t understand how that can happen. That limits results in Google doesn’t it?

“Don’t worry, it will have a crappy design, a kick as name and lots of attitude.”
lmao perhaps you should get the woman who designed your sites before? The one that made the Janet topless design? That’s attitude! How many domains have you had?
What’s the book going to be about? I guess not relationships?

Scrivs Says:
Two things so let’s have fun:
1) You have a site tagged as porn. There goes our brand.
2) How many people wanna place some over/under bets on how long this new site lasts? I’m calling 87 days. Any takers?
3 (Yeah fuck it I add shit) ) Did any of you ladies catch how good I look today? Even when I’m sick I look good, it’s crazy.
Good luck with new site Evil Woman.

Tyme don’t worry about the pornography label. The San Francisco Ballet is labeled as porn too. If you want a new domain go for it!
Scrivs:
She sounds serious this time but I’ll make a bet of 6 months. It would take at least that long for the book to come out.
There goes your brand!
Did you stream or put pictures up? I’m sorry I missed it.

112 days.
If the site is important then you might want to consider a professional handling the design. Something to suit your personality. Those topics are kind of boring. Can you have attitude without being labeled a bitch?

You taking on the crunch guy? That would be a hoot. It’s always been said you are the natural choice for the black tech blogger. Do your thing girl! Reclaim your rightful position on the throne. Next thing we’ll hear, you’ll be doing a stream with 50 Cent talking about technology and business!
ViperGirl: Tyme already has a reputation of being a bitch. It’s perfect.

I bought a template the other day I just have to hack it. Mike is in the middle of designing 9 sites. Are you trying to get me killed?
I just wanted to let you guys know I was splitting topic matter off onto two sites.
@Yoshi - don’t ever in your lifetime mention me and a girly site again. WTF you think I wanted flowers and shit?
Posted on May 21st, 2008 at 4:15 pm
Yoshi Says:
You guys are really doing 9 sites? I thought you were kidding. Not flowers but something feminine, like pink. I was thinking flowers and pink but you don’t like flowers lol.
Posted on May 21st, 2008 at 4:27 pm
Marquee Says:
I get it. You’re starting the new site to prove legitimacy so you can do whatever you are going to do on the 9 sites. The book compliments those things. Who writes a book on technology, games and business?
Posted on May 21st, 2008 at 4:31 pm
Scrivs Says:
I told Tyme to ask Mike for a design and of course he would do it. I would even code it up in WP for her for the total team effort. If she fucks it up after that then it’s on her.
Why would we kid about doing 9 sites at once?
In fact! I’m gonna be spontaneous right here. If enough of you promise to visit us during a streamcast I think we can arrange to do one this Friday on one of the new sites for a sneak preview. I have yet to ask Mike or Tyme about this, but why do we need to ask them for permission to rock shit!?
And I mean I need a decent number of people in the chat for the streamcast, none of this sitting on the sideline just watching shit. If not then you just have to wait till next week. Hell, I’ll even let you guys pick the topic and that will be how we decide what site to preview.
If you people can’t make it don’t worry, we will be pumping out more streamcasts shortly so you can see how the good company gets stuff done.

Tyme I love you but you cannot touch the site once they are done. Mike can make the header changeable so you can move the design to your next site. Just don’t mess with it ok? A Mike and Scrivs design. You’re lucky girl.

Scrivs, a stream is not the time to ask about how to improve his golf game. Improving his game is a pointless conversation. It’s the first thing he thought of too!
I can’t pre-think of a topic. You guys are so spontaneous, I go with the moment. Him improving his golf is like me improving my cooking. Won’t happen.

I think Marquee is on to something. It’s a lot of sites coming out at once. I saw on Scrivs’ Twitter there is a gallery coming out too. All of this stuff has to compliment each other or they turned into workaholics. Games, Technology and Business is a weird combination.
For Scrivs’ bet I think the site will be around for awhile with Technology and Business. Tyme will drop the Games.

I’m thinking like Tyme. Gaming doesn’t sound right unless she talks about it from a business POV. CBS owns Gamespot now. All of this ties together somehow because Tyme said she wants to be mobile and travel.

“A couple of tips from the book you were going to write on how to get any woman you wanted.”
Book I was going to write? I’ve been writing that for over 6 months now…I keep on changing the voice trying to find “me” in it. With a book my mentality seems to change and I’m not writing the way I think I would want to read a book. Think I might throw up a site and get parts of the chapters online to get feedback without letting it be known they are chapters.
Either way it is slow going with everything we got going on.
Nice suggestions for topics though everyone, keep them coming. You are definitely taking us across some sites so we would have to narrow down to one topic or a couple in the same genre.
“How do I do that and become a butt-kicker like Tyme?”

I agree about the topics. I have no inclination to use Twitter and I dumped MySpace and Facebook. I don’t mind learning what the companies are doing so I can pass it on to my clueless friends.
I have a topic. Can you talk about having a virtual company? How do you manage problems that occur during the day? Do you have pointers for anyone wanting to start a company online?

Will the stream be recorded? One other question, Tyme if the business and technology topics are moving to another location can we bring forums back?

Recording it would be terrific. There are times when I missed it and wanted to see it or wished I could show parts of it to a friend.

Scrivs Says:
Recording it would be a headache because although Ustream does allow us to record our own shows we would have to sync the recordings since technically we are doing two different shows on one screen. Gotta remember all the other fun shows have people in the same room, we are spread across 3 states.

Posted on May 22nd, 2008 at 4:52 pm
Tyme White Says:
Ok let’s see what ya’ll have been talking about…
1) About recording the stream - I’ve been looking into ways to do that. I might have found a way but I doubt I’ll have time to test it before the stream. It’s something I want to do and I’ll keep everyone posted.
2) Yes, I’m thinking of bringing the forums back. I could have made a discussion about the stream and sticky’d it.
3) A Scrivs and Mike production? I might put that in the footer.
4) You are correct, I’ve been online 10 yrs and I never let anyone write on my personal blog. It never really came up before now. You’re right, it was like a foreign concept to me.
5) I’ll talk about the new site when I’m closer to launching it. Yes, everything compliments each other. I have to think of another domain name - Scrivs said the one I was going to use was terrible (name doesn’t match the purpose of the site). No, I’m not telling what it is.

That’s a good name for a social site. Sit back and chill. That’s a branding challenge. Scrivs will think of something fly for you Tyme then you can rise from the ashes like a phoenix and doing your thing. Your Fast Company article was ill.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s looking around her wondering what she wants to do with her life.
Illchay is well a challenge for a business site? I came across quite a few articles encouraging people to register domain names. I can sympathize with how hard it could be to come up with a good name.
Thanks for the laugh Scrivs. It’s been a long day.

My topic suggestion goes along with how you manage a virtual company. How do you communicate? I attend meetings the majority of the day face to face. Do you use video for the meetings? Talk on the phone?
I wish I was as close to my co-workers as you guys are. I can vividly see Scrivs getting an idea in the middle of the night, calling Tyme and they talk hash it out. Or they get tore up and come up with ideas they normally wouldn’t but the alcohol frees up the creative process. You guys don’t have the weird boundaries most people have that work together. You and Tyme have talked about everything - what could possibly be weird between the two of you?
In my world everything is. Creativity can hinder a person if someone is out for your job.
Posted on May 22nd, 2008 at 11:55 pm
Felix Says:
Yeah, I don’t doubt they have great fun managing their business. Can you see Scrivs calling Tyme when he knows she’s watching House or Bones to throw an idea at her? She says whatever she needs to say to get him off the phone. Score one for Scrivs!
Posted on May 23rd, 2008 at 12:06 am
Scrivs Says:
I’m not gonna lie we don’t really talk on the phone. I talk to Tyme and Mike once in a blue moon on the phone and that’s it. There is so much communication online during our “normal” times that I respect whatever boundaries they have. I don’t think anybody wants to be that person that is ALWAYS in their life 24/7.
If there is an idea it can wait and when I say we all work on different schedules I mean it. There might be a 30 min timespan most of the time during the 24 hour day where one of us isn’t online.
And you guys aren’t giving Tyme enough credit. I know I’m the cool and mello one, but Tyme carries Mike and I more times than we carry her, although I do have to admit I need to virtually slap her silly when she gets too excited about an idea.
illchay.com…
B**** please.
And business is meant to be fun. Nothing in your life that you have to manage should be tedious. Life, friendships, relationships or business. We only have one life to live, stop wasting it.

“Tyme had a very long draining process she went through. From what I heard of her damages she’s very lucky to be here. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s looking around her wondering what she wants to do with her life.”
Seeing her last night, she really is like a person with a blank canvas wondering what she wants to put on it. Kind of cute seeing her think, “I can do that!” because she was so limited in what she could do for so long. Last night she decided to be a rapper. I wrote down what she said but I have to find it.

Me: What? You aren’t up?
Tyme: nope. living in the wild side. how are u?
Me: On my way to work. How did the rap go?
Tyme: must learn to not spontaneously blurt out raps
Me: You remember what you said?
Tyme: no, thank god
Me: Traffic is starting to move I gotta go. Talk to you later.

Apparently late afternoon means after 8pm to some people so oh well we had loyal 9r people in there. You guys sold me out. No love.

Don’t worry about Scrivs. I’m sure he’ll be just fine. Big plans this weekend…it’s the holiday…when special things happen.
I most likely won’t be around that much since it’s the long weekend. Have a GREAT weekend everyone!

I have to hit the road but I caught it just as Tyme flipped the camera to show a wall and then she froze. Gah.
Tyme have a wonderful weekend. I’m glad I got a chance to see you for a minute.

I tried to get in but Ustream timed out. I couldn’t get the page to load. I lost track of time and tried again around 5:30. Tyme was the only one there and the chat room wasn’t loading. She told me her aim screenname and I talked to her through IM. She talked to me through video while she played with lighting.
She said they answered the two relationship questions since they were previewing Chixe. She said Scrivs response to the worst thing that happened to him was an ex kissing a soccer teammate. Tyme said she originally said giving an ex a motorcycle he requested but wouldn’t accept after it was purchased but changed her mind. Her new answer is lying to her because it breaks the trust completely and it’s almost impossible to get back. She hates being played for a fool.
The second question was about caring for two people at the same time. She said Scrivs said that he didn’t think it was possible to care for two people equally and it’s best to walk away from them both. Tyme said it’s a black and white situation, pick one and stay true to it. If she senses the presence of another women treading on her turf (and can prove it) she makes the decision for the guy, she walks away never looking back.
The entire time she was playing with light settings. There was a lot of light shining on her and I could tell she’s in a corner. She said there are 5 windows in her room. One on each side and three on the front. She swirled the camera and showed me the unpainted wall of her room over her bed. It’s white, green and blue. The headboard on her bed is an off-white/dark creme antique style headboard that she says she hates and can’t wait to get rid of when she moves (she’s not even taking the mattresses). My bedroom can fit into that one area I saw.
She said she had to go, thanked me for coming. There were 4 other people showing up as viewers. She said the next time we see her hopefully the oriental bangs will be gone.
I’ll check in over the weekend. Take care Tyme and thanks!

Thanks for the update Justine. Now I understand what I was looking at. Yes, her room is huge and I understand why she hasn’t finished it or changed her mind on the colors. Where to put all that furniture? Probably to wait at this late date until she moves and its empty. Not like she has sex in that room anyway lol.

I forgot she said they talked about revenge. She told the Cindy story. She said Scrivs said she didn’t play by the rules. Tyme said the point of revenge is to make the person hurt but she doesn’t indulge in revenge because she’s ruthless. If the goal was pain the person will hurt lol.

Damn I missed it. I just got out of a meeting, it’s almost 4.

Men HATE their ex’s moving on with anyone let alone someone he knows. Tyme has rotten luck about men lying to her so I understand her changing her mind but the bike was messed up.

I agree with Scrivs, leave them both. I agree with Tyme too, if a man doesn’t get rid of the other woman once and for all, get rid of him. There are better fish in the sea.
Was any other this recorded? I wanna see the wall!

I showed up, it took a long time for the page to load. You said it was weird for there only to be 5 people, there must be technical difficulties. You apologized saying that if you looked down that meant you were sending text messages on your phone. Then the video froze. I figured since you were answering text messages during that one hour slot time whatever you were doing was more important so I didn’t try to come back. I’m not being mean or anything but it’s one hour - watching you answer text messages isn’t fun. A topless woman, sure, I’d watch that all day. :=)

We do it because we think we can get away with it. Our girl will never know. The problem with Tyme is she is one of those women that can sense things, making it almost impossible to hide anything. Most women aren’t like that, thank GOD.
Personally, I think Tyme should remain single. Live the life.

Guess she won’t be going to NY for that haircut lol.

Tyme’s men aren’t this bad lmao but when the guy said “I’m out for me” that describes the men in Tyme’s life. I used to be that way but once I turned 25, I outgrew it and became a man. Tyme, no matter how old the guy is, dates boys claiming to be men.

Preston is in town and as much as her neighbor has to be irritating her with that race car (I’m 10 blocks away and I can hear it if he comes my way) I bet she’s ripe for a quick trip. He has a home in ATL, Miami and NY she could hang out. And a plane to go anywhere lol. That boy and his car are ridiculous! He keeps the motor running and that thing is so loud. He’s friends with a guy a block from me. Hearing that engine running almost constantly is aggravating. Good times for Tyme and her entourage. I’m jealous. :=(

Helen I’m jealous too. I don’t know what I would do with a man that had that much money. I think I would feel inferior like Tyme’s ex she bought the bike for. I’m sort of on the fence about that one. They knew each other two years before they were together as a couple? Friends for that long why was his insecurities still there? That wasn’t a big gift to her back them. Her gaming site made that much in a week.

I’m jealous but then I thought about it. What would I do with a plane? Travel anywhere I wanted anytime I wanted. Made myself more jealous.
Glad to see Tyme spending time with a good man if it’s not going to be me. Enough with these boys pretending to be men. On to picking the right man.

Probably had to firm up those weekend plans!
“You sayin’ my design sk1llz are limited to only doing manly designs?”
I’m sorry, I shouldn’t make that generalization. In my own experience working with artists they made it so feminine women we turned off. Too many curly ques, too pink, too many flowers, etc.
You guys know if you had your own plane it would stay parked most of the time. Like you guys have exciting lives!

The Motorcycle Guy Says:
Ustream had technical difficulties. The person that told me about my mention in your show said the shows were listed on the front page of Ustream but the video would not load.
Tyme wasn’t wrong to purchase the bike for me. I mentioned I wanted it, I kept on talking about it and she knew it was out of my reach at the time. We were friends online for years, involved with other people, before we got involved. We decided to talk on the phone and we clicked - like soulmates. She became the first voice I heard in the morning and the last voice I heard at night. I saw her as much as I had time for because I was working two jobs. When Tyme is into a man she requires sex so visits become a priority. I didn’t cheat, I didn’t seriously flirt with other women, I put a woman in her place if she had feelings for me.
I told her I wanted the bike, I talked to her about everything. She was like a step-mother to my son. At first she listened then asked if I really wanted the bike. I suppose she thought about it a couple of days then asked me how I would feel if she got me the bike. I told her no, then I brought it back up. She was my girl, I shouldn’t feel less of a man because she had more disposable money than I did. We talked about payment arrangements for me to pay her back. We had many discussions about the bike, it was a limited edition custom painted bike. She was so afraid of messing up the details she called me from the dealer, the one I found for her.
When the bike was ready she had it delivered. She took a picture of it in her back yard but I wouldn’t look at it because the first time I saw it I wanted to be there. She offered to fly me out to pick up the bike and drive it home. She wanted to make sure I was well rested. I looked at the bike and it hit me all at once how much my life changed being with her compared to my last (and only real) relationship. My ex was a lying manipulating person. Tyme was the polar opposite and I couldn’t believe she was mine. I couldn’t believe the bike of my dreams was sitting there. And I felt sick I wasn’t able to get it on my own. And I felt sicker that I couldn’t return the gesture. I felt even sicker that I knew I was going to go through a court battle and she could be dragged into it because she loved me.
I didn’t realize then but I was giving her something worth a lot more. I made her feel loved.
http://tymesaid.com/what-do-you-say-when-your-daughter-asks-you
The money she spent on the bike was like getting a meal at McDonald’s to her at the time. If I could go back in time I would accept the bike, realize for her it was about making me happy and we’d work through the problems I had coming up. Instead I tried to shield her from it and I sacrificed her. I never stopped regretting it. I don’t think Tyme holds an unrealistic expectation for men or compares them to what we had.
I think she picks dumb men like me at the time that don’t truly appreciate the Angel that was brought into their life - for a reason. Staying completely away from men that claim to be “bad” would be a start. Bad boys aren’t good. There isn’t an exception to that.
Tyme did pick the wrong man. There is nothing worse than knowing I had the opportunity for happiness and I blew it. I learned from it and hopefully one day we’ll both find the happiness we deserve.

Charmyn Says:
I’ve been up most of the night. I found out tonight that for sure the man that supposedly loves me has been “flirting” with another woman. He met her last night for the first time. He lied to me and said they were “just friends”, he barely talked to her. He would not admit to me he was meeting her.
I was the one that took care of responsibilities. The other bitch gets the fun. I never hated anyone before but I hate him. The thought of him makes me queasy.
I don’t believe in the “caring for two people” bullshit. In my heart I thought flirting was okay. I thought I could trust him. Flirting is never okay, a man that respects the woman he loves won’t do that.
The next couple of weeks are going to be very hard for me. When he has a problem my response will be “Tell the other bitch”. When he can’t pay his bills “Tell the other bitch”. When he wants to talk “Tell the other bitch”. I think it’s about time the other bitch handled problems instead of getting all the fun.
You know, I might just send him a link to this comment instead so he doesn’t ask me in the first place.
