The BizBlog Show
Ok finally I can talk about it! Phew!
Jeremy and I did a podcast the other day for The BizBlog Show. It’s something we talked about for awhile. Today is the first time I heard it and I’m going to listen to it a couple of times to see how we can improve the sound quality. It’s in true podcast form, meaning you can hear our kids in the background, some weird mic stuff going on…we did not edit and polish this up…it is what it is. I do want to improve the weird mic stuff and normalize the sound a bit.
An update - we talked about the Gawker legal situation which has been resolved…and in very cool way. Read it and check it out - getting a note from Fred himself…very cool.
As we mentioned in the show we won’t be taping a show for about a week or so because Jeremy’s moving. However, he did tape another show that might go up during that time.
I want to hear your thoughts on the show. We completely winged-it because its an intro show. Anyone in particular you’d like us to interview? How do you think it can be improved? What topics would you like to hear? Let me know…you can respond here or you can send me an email.
For you podcasters out there, do you ever get use to hearing your own voice?

Another woman podcasting, yeah!
I like your voice, it’s husky and you sound so young.
People I’d like to hear from are Bill Gates, Robert Scoble, Dave Winer, Ed Cone and Doc Searls. Perhaps Dan Gillmor.
Another one is Doug Kaye. I know he’s not a “blogger” but he’s built a nice business and I’d like to hear more about how he did that.

I applaud you and Jeremy. I’ve listen to Jeremy in a couple of different podcasts and he mentioned possibly doing a podcast on his blog. It makes sense he would do one.
I am glad you are doing a podcast because quite frankly there aren’t many (if any) African American women podcasting, especially about Business. I think your presence will foster blogging and podcasting for minorities and reach a segment that would most likely have been skipped over. it’s I think a nice mix.
Perhaps you can do a blogging series as well.
Congrats on the podcast!

I think it’s great for a first podcast. I agree with John about adding minority business issues in your podcasting.
Have to say it’s good hearing a woman for a change.

Hey Tyme, Welcome to The Podcast Network! Just listening to the show now, sounds great to me! No problems at all with the sound quality as far as I’m concerned. Great to have a woman’s voice on a TPN show! Thanks for playing!

I’ve added the podcast to my RSS reader. This is a topic I’m interested in and I have to admit that a woman speaking about it (being a woman myself) appeals to me.
I read your other post about diversity and I agree with you, although I think you might be inadvertently promoting blogging and podcasting, which is great. I think that a minority woman doing this on a regular basis will help promote blogging and podcasting more than the signup drive that woman stupidly spoke of. When I read that I thought of those fund drives you donate money to for the needy.
Good luck with the podcast!
