Tyme’s Blog Experiment
One of the main things I write about on my blogs is how to blog. I talked about being aware of what you’re writing, write consistently but remember quality over quantity, be active in the conversation, etc. It’s been said a zillion times.
Let’s face it there are sites that follow “the rules” to the letter and have very small readerships (when the blogger wants a large audience). What are they doing wrong? There are excellent blogs out there that never get their fair shake. Hence, the Blog Experiment.
With Not Too Geeky I’m going to follow “the rules”, track the progress and share my ups and downs. I don’t care about being an A-List blogger but I do care about helping others have “better” blogs, especially with more bloggers submitting their sites to 9rules.
Let’s start out with the obvious “rule” write consistently. This could be weekly, monthly and of course daily. The purpose is to keep readers interest level high. The goal is to want a reader to look forward to reading your words. On Not Too Geeky my writing has been sporadic because of 9rules but that is about to stop. Having this project in mind for over a month I wanted to test whether my lack of consistent writing over the summer made a difference and how much. Let the fun begin.
