Tyme’s Thoughts: Bad habits

I’ve picked up a couple of bad habits lately and I’m working on nipping them in the bud. It’s rough but I shall conquer these habits. What are they?

  • I repeat myself almost like making opening and closing arguments.
  • Of course this makes what I write longer than necessary.
  • I’m picking up bad grammar habits, for example, “It’s like…” and “is that”.
  • It takes me longer to write things because I over analyze it, sometimes changing it so much my point is lost. o_O
  • I get distracted much easier than I used to. For example, I’m working on something, I notice an email, I answer that email right away, which makes me think of something else, making me forget about what I was working on. In comparison I used to work on something, I’d notice the email, but I wouldn’t answer it or do anything until I finished what I was doing (or accomplished enough to stop).
  • My proofreading skills have deteriorated tremendously but my auto-correction skills are awesome.

I assume I developed these habits over time but they have to go. Now.

When you notice bad habits (in anything) do you fix them immediately or do you slack?
